Two Maryville residents injured in wreck

SHERIDAN, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two Maryville residents are in the hospital after a one-vehicle wreck over the weekend.

The Patrol says Bertsel Tate, 52, was driving a 1998 Ford pick-up on MO 246, one mile east of Sheridan in Worth County. Stephanie Tate, 49, was in the passenger seat.

At 2:55 p.m. Sunday, authorites say a unit that was being towed by the Ford began to fishtail, eventually causing the Ford to strike a ditch and overturn.

Stephane Tate was life flighted to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph and Bertsel Tate was taken to Mosaic Hospital in Maryville. Neither were wearing a seat belt.
