Area grocery chain now offering COVID-19 boosters

DES MOINES, Iowa - An area grocery chain is offering a limited supply of the updated COVID-19 boosters.

Hy-Vee says the boosters, known as bivalent boosters, are now available at select Hy-Vee pharmacy locations by appointment.

The new boosters are supposed to target the latest Omicron subvariants of COVID-19, along with the original strain. Eligible patients can choose which manufacturer for their booster, whether Pfizer or Moderna.
