Boil advisory issued in SW Iowa town

SHENANDOAH, Iowa - A small portion of one Iowa city is under a boil advisory today.

The order covers West Sheridan Avenue from U.S. Highway 59 to Grass Street in Shenandoah are impacted by the water advisory, according to the city's Facebook page.

The advisory was issued because the city's water department is doing construction work; adding a four-inch valve and replacing the fire hydrant at the corner of Burnett and West Sheridan Avenue.

Water services will be interrupted until repairs are complete and water service is restored. Residents are urged to call the water department at 712-246-3372, if they have any comments or concerns.
