OMAHA, Neb. - Drought conditions continue to cause problems in the Missouri River Basin. According to the latest report from the Army Corps of Engineers, reservoir flowers were much lower than average last month.

74% of the basin is experiencing abnormally dry or drought conditions. In response, the Corps will reduce water levels a full foot from Kansas City to Omaha, which will have an impact on navigation this fall.

The Corps will now end the navigation season three days early, meaning navigation is now set to end on Nov. 28.
