JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - With the changing of the seasons, Missouri weather is like Goldilocks porridge when it comes to grass.
Some grasses find the weather to be too hot, while other types of grasses find it too cold, making it difficult to find the "just right" Missouri weather.
According to University of Missouri Extension horticulturist Justin Keay, Missouri is considered a transition state
He says the key to a quality lawn is selecting species and varieties that grow well in your individual region. For help with lawn care online, search "lawn care" at extension-DOT-missouri-DOT-e-d-u.
