DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding hunters that squirrel season is currently underway.
Jim Coffey, Forest Wildlife Research Biologist with the DNR, says that there are two main species that hunters can hunt for.
Iowa squirrel hunting lasts through Jan. 31 and there are no restrictions on shooting hours. For more information on Iowa squirrel hunting visit iowadnr.gov/hunting.
