JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is wanting hunters to save turkey feathers for a research project to improve the estimation of turkey abundance in the state.
M-D-C News Services Coordinator Jill Pritchard says after telechecking the turkey, hunters will be mailed a feather submission packet, including a postage-paid return envelope to submit feathers at no cost.
To receive a packet and to register, visit mdc.mo.gov/turkeyfeathers.
