JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is bringing free hunter education skill sessions to our listening after over the coming weeks.
Participants will earn the safety certificate needed to obtain hunting permits. These six sessions will teach and test participants for safe firearms handling and basic hunting skills.
The first in our listening area will be at the Grand River Welding Institute in Brookfield on Sept. 24. Then it will be at the Dockery Park Building in Gallatin on Sept. 29, then the Harrison County Sheriff's Office in Bethany on Oct. 1, the North Central Missouri College Barton Campus in Trenton on Oct. 6, the Northwest Technical School in Maryville on Oct. 8, and the Remington Nature Center in St. Joseph on Oct. 12.
