WASHINGTON - The Biden administration says Missouri's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment plan has been approved ahead of schedule.

That means Missouri and all other states now have access to all National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure formula funding to help build EV charges along highways.

Missouri’s EV charging plan outlines how the state will grow its emerging charging network of approximately 2,147 public charging ports, using funding.

A first priority for the state is placing high powered chargers along the approximately 1,184 miles of Designated EV Corridors within Missouri.

Based on Missouri’s plan, the state was granted three exceptions to the one-mile proximity rule based on Extraordinary Cost.
