ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Music Hall of Fame will have a normal award ceremony this year after COVID-19 restricted it the past two years.

This year's ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 26 from 5-6:30 p.m. in St. Joseph, will see the induction of Josephine Baker, the first woman of color to appear in a feature film.

The St. Louis native was a singer, actress and dancer during the 1920s and 30s. During WW2, she simultaneously worked as a famed international performer and as a spy for the French Resistance.

Baker will be inducted alongside the 2021 inductees, country music legend Porter Wagoner and famed entertainment photographer Jason Squires.
