OREGON,Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three people from Nebraska were injured in a single-vehicle wreck.

The Patrol says Debra Winters of Omaha, 59, was driving a 2021 Nissan Maruno with a four- and five-year-old child in the car.

Authorities say the Nissan traveled off the side of I-29 in Holt County at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, struck a guardrail, crossed the median, and the undercarriage of the Nissan struck the ground before becoming airborne, and struck an embankment.

Winters and the five-year old boy were transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries, while the four-year old girl was released to her parents with minor injuries. All were wearing seatbelts.
