MARYVILLE, Mo. - A local utility company has hit a big milestone. According to a press release late last week, United Fiber is now delivering service to 25,000 subscribers.

The milestone comes after 12 years in the area. United Fiber began in 2010 thanks to a grant-loan through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Since then, United Fiber has grown to have more than 3,000 miles of fiber throughout the Northwest Missouri region. They provide broadband internet to more than 40 communities, 110 churches, 140 health care facilities and 35 educational facilities.
