Former Republicans back MO Democratic candidate

Two former Missouri Republican officeholders are throwing their support behind an unlikely candidate.

Former U.S. Representative from Northwest Missouri Tom Coleman and former Missouri state senator Bob Johnson have endorsed Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Trudy Busch Valentine.

The GOP duo say that they believe Valentine is the only candidate who will put America over political party in D.C. It's unknown if this will sway Missourians.

The 538 Project currently gives Valentine's Republican opponent Eric Schmitt a 99% chance of winning.
