DES MOINES, Iowa - As fall is slowly winding down, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding lake property owners to check their boating equipment before storing them for the winter.
Often spreading and growing quickly, aquatic invasive species, such as zebra mussels, can cause serious problems for water and impact outdoor recreation experiences.
Fisheries Bureau's Aquatic Invasive Species Program Coordinator Kim Bogenschutz says you can learn more about aquatic invasive species at iowadnr.gov/ais.
