DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a meeting this month in the KXCV/KRNW listening area on chronic wasting disaese amongst deer.
The meeting, scheduled for next Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the American Legion Hall in Glenwood at 7 p.m., will go over surveillance and management efforts.
State wildlife veterinarian for the Iowa DNR Rachel Ruden says meetings are being held in counties, or nearby counties, where CWD has recently popped up.
Ruden adds for those who can't make it to the meeting, they can check out iowadnr.gov/hunting/deer-hunting/deer-health for more information about CWD.
