MO waterfowl hunting season begins this weekend

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Good news for hunters in northwest Missouri.

According to Missouri Department of Conservation Media Specialist Bill Graham wetlands throughout northwest Missouri are looking good for upcoming waterfowl seasons despite a dry fall season.

Graham says in the Fountain Grove Conservation area, some pools will not hold water as they are undergoing construction.

Most pools in the Forest Grove area will be need heavy rainfall to have enough water for hunting while areas on the east side of the Forest Grove Conservation area should be normal.

Waterfowl season begins Oct. 29 and lasts through Dec. 27. For more information, visit mdc.mo.gov.
