QUITMAN, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation says a project that will replace a nearly nine decade old bridge is slated to begin next month.
Contractors from Emery Sapp and Sons will close the Nodaway River Bridge on County Route 46 near Quitman on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
During the closure, the contractor will replace the bridge, update the guardrail and replace a box culvert. The work, which will redirect drivers on Route 113, U.S. Routes 136 and 59, is expected to be completed early next June.
