WINSTON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says several people from Algona and Whittemore, Iowa, were injured a single-vehicle wreck in Daviess County.

The Patrol says Jessica Wright, 30, was driving a 2008 Chevy Uplander on U.S. Interstate 35, three miles northwest of Winston, with a seven-year-old boy, Russell Wright, 19, Johnny Wright, 42, and Carolann Cook, 53, in the truck as well.

At 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, the truck travelled off the road into the median, overcorrected, and returned to their road where it overturned.

Three of the five people in the truck were ejected. Johnny Wright and Carolann Cook suffered serious injuries and were taken to Liberty Hospital.

Three passengers weren't wearing their seatbelts. Authorities were unsure of the child was properly buckled into the vehicle.
