MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville City Council took a step towards improving watershed management at Mozingo Lake.
At Monday night's meeting, the council approved a $230,000 contract with HDR Engineering to develop a quality assurance protection plan.
City Manager Greg McDanel says under the plan, HDR Engineering will install sampling and monitoring equipment at the Lake to help control algae blooms.
McDanel adds that HDR Engineering will also create a nine element plan to meet EPA requirements.
