MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville firefighters are getting some extra help. That's because the Maryville City Council approved an ordinance to opt into the state's Firefighters' Critical Illness Pool and Trust.
City Manager Greg McDanel says the city will be reimbursed 56 percent of related premiums up to $300,000. As of right now, the current net cost for the city will be around $800 per year.
