JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson is praising one industry in October. Earlier this month, Gov. Parson proclaimed that October is Pork Month in Missouri.
He says it's recognize all the pig farmers and their families across the Show-Me State, who help make Missouri's pork industry sixth in the nation. According to other statistics, the pork industry contributes nearly 800 million dollars to Missouri's economy annually.
