At the latest South Nodaway Board of Education Meeting, the board discussed the renewal of numerous programs.
Superintendent Dustin Skoglund says the Career Ladder was renewed, which provides opportunities for veteran teachers to earn extra money for non-contract hours like tutoring and be compensated for it.
Skoglund adds that the ACES agreement was renewed, which is used to provide social workers, special education services, and testing services to area schools.
However, Seamless Summer, a program in which schools fed students during the pandemic and provided free breakfast and lunches as part of a federally funded program recently ended. Now, if students are not qualified for free and reduced lunches, they will have to pay for their meals.
