DES MOINES, Iowa - Another exciting season starts in Iowa this weekend. Iowa trappers are gearing up for the start of furharvest season, which begins tomorrow across the state.
Furbearer biologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resource Vince Evelsizer says the current furbearer population is stable and trending upward, but the drought is having an impact.
He adds that there will be several species of furbearers that will adjust to the drought conditions. For more information, visit iowadnr.gov.
