Kan. officials look for hunter behind poaching incident

TOPEKA, Kan. - The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks Law Enforcement Division is seeking information in the death of a deer.

According to a Facebook post from the division, an eight-point buck deer was poached sometime Tuesday morning on McPherson Rd. near 214th St., in Atchison County.

Officials say the deer was illegally shot using a small caliber rifle. If you have information about this incident, please contact Game Warden Porterfield at 785-230-8466.
