Missourians dealing with long COVID more than national average

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Testing results are in from the University of Missouri Extension Office, and Missourians are reporting higher rates of "long COVID" than average in the U.S.

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, 37% of Missourians that previously had COVID reported symptoms lasting either three months or longer. That's compared with 33% across the U.S.

Specialist with the Extension Office Luke Dietterle adds that the findings suggest the impact of COVID-19 on Missouri's workforce will continue to be felt for quite some time.
