ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - During this month, St. Joseph residents will have an opportunity to burn dry waste within city limits.
Stephanie Malita, City of St Joseph Health Department Public Information Officer, says while there is an opportunity for open burning residents are encouraged to explore alternatives to open burning.
Some laws residents must follow include, burn hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., all fires must be contained in a 55-gallon drum, or a drum size constrainer with wire mesh, yard waste only, and having firefighting material to contain any fire started.
