St. Joseph Sports Commission announces inaugural event

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Sports Commission has announced the creation of an event. 

The Commission, in partnership with the Junior League of St. Joseph, will hold the inaugural St. Joseph Marathon on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023.

The event will feature five different distances for participants to choose from. Those include a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10K race, a 5K race and a relay team portion that will utilize the full route.

Full marathon participants will have the opportunity to achieve a Boston Marathon qualifying time. Registration and other information will be announced next month.
