ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Local pork processor Triumph Foods is continuing its legacy of giving back with holiday pork donations throughout the community.
During the Thanksgiving holiday, St. Joseph-based Triumph donated over 37,000 pounds of pork to Second Harvest Community Bank, which helps to fight food insecurity in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
The donation estimated to provide over 30,000 meals across the 19 counties the food bank serves.
In addition to Triumph donating to Second Harvest Community, they are donating meals to the South Side Lions Club, which is preparing welcome home meals for returning solider's from the 139th Airlift Wing of the Missouri National Guard.
