After earning the Midland Empire Conference football title for the first time since 2019, the Maryville Spoofhounds also found themselves raking in honors from the league as the yearly all-conference awards came down Tuesday.
The 'Hounds picked up five First Team All-MEC honors on the offensive side of the football, including Kort Watkins (OL), Delton Davis (WR), Caden Stoecklein (RB), Cooper Loe (FB) and Derek Quinlin (QB). On the defensive side of the football, Maryville received four first team awards. Those recognized included Watkins and Lucas Vierthaler (DL), Loe (LB) and Stoecklein (DB).
Matt Webb was named MEC Coach of the Year by his peers after leading the Spoofhounds to a 5-1 conference mark.
