Area man to be inducted into IA Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa-  A resident in the KXCV/KRNW listening area is set to be inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

John Murren, of Red Oak, has been selected in the promoter section of the 2023 induction class. Murren's spent two and a half decades promoting and producing concerts at various locales around the region.

Murren will be recognized along dozens of others at the Hall of Fame in Arnolds Park on Labor Day Weekend. The festivities kick off with a Rock the Roof Concert on Thursday evening, Aug. 31.

Friday and Saturday will see several concerts, contests and meet and greets with the inductees. Then Murren and others will be inducted on Sunday, Sept. 3.
