Chillicothe Polar Plunge happening next month

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - Special Olympics Missouri is wanting you to dress up and take a plunge at the 16th annual Chillicothe Polar Plunge.

The plunge will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Chili Bay Area Water Park with day-of registration starting at 11:30 a.m. and the plunge starting promptly at 1 p.m.

Plunge Coordinator Melody Prawitz says awards will also be given to the top three individual fundraisers of the event as well as the top three fundraising groups and the top fundraising school.

The minimum fundraising needed to participate is $75. For more information, call 816-233-6232. All proceeds from this year's event goes to Special Olympics Missouri.
