Hy-Vee issues recall for pot roast dinners

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - An area grocery chain has issued a voluntary recall for two varieties of one of it's products.

Hy-Vee's Mealtime Beef Pot Roast Dinner with Mashed Potatoes and Corn and the dinner with mashed potatoes and carrots have been recalled across Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and four other states.

Hy-vee says it was made aware that the gravy mixed used in the meals contain a wheat allergen that was not listed on the ingredients label.

The product has been removed from shelves and the company says that customers with a wheat sensitivity who purchased the product between Dec. 26 and Jan. 17 should throw away or return the product to their local Hy-Vee store. Concerned customers are urged to call 800-772-4098.
