JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Three northwest Missouri groups have been named as recipients for funding to help improve rural broadband.
According to a press release from Gov. Mike Parson this week, United Services received $8.2 million, Green Hills Telephone Corporation received $6.2 million and Mid-State Services also received $6.2 million.
This money will go towards helping expand rural broadband in Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Daviess, Holt, Nodaway and Worth counties.
Overall, the Missouri Department of Economic Development issues $261 million to 60 recipients for projects to expand and improve internet access.
