MARYVILLE, Mo. - The New Nodaway Humane Society wants to know if you need a furry companion, at least for a week.
To meet new state requirements, the humane society has to resurface the floors in their dog kennels. Because of that, the dogs must be removed for a week. You can help by housing a dog while work happens.
Shelter director Wendy Combs asks that you live within twenty miles from the shelter, or are willing to driving if vet care is needed, and that you come and meet with the dog before the pickup date.
The humane society will provide food, supplies, and vet care. Pickup is Saturday, Feb. 4 and they may be returned on Monday, Feb. 13. If you get attached to your foster dog, there will be the opportunity for adoption.
