Suspicious death being investigated in Brown County

HORTON, Kan. - Several Kansas law enforcement agencies are investigating the suspicious death of a 56-year-old man.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Horton Police Department are looking into the death of Gene Dunlap of Horton.

According to officials, the Sheriff's Office got a call around 4 p.m. Tuesday from a woman asking for help at a home in Horton. Deputies found Dunlap dead in the attic of the home.

According to the K-B-I, an autopsy will be performed today and the investigation is ongoing. No other details about the death have been released.
