Domestic violence shelter to host first annual fundraiser

MARYVILLE, Mo. - They've been a part of the Northwest Missouri community for years and now they're getting ready for their first annual fundraiser.

The North Star Advocacy Center in Maryville will be holding the fundraiser at Rose Hill Acres Event Center at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30.

North Star has been providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth counties for over two decades.

Executive Director at North Star Linda Mattson says the fundraiser will help with their mission.

The fundraiser will feature guest speakers, a cash bar, a free dinner, silent auction and paddle raffle. You are asked to RSVP by March 16.
