LATHROP, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an elderly woman was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Caldwell County this week.
The Patrol says 78-year-old Dennis Huffman was driving a 2002 Chrysler P-T Cruiser, with 84-year-old Marilyn Huffman in the passenger seat, on MO 116 at Gold Rd., five miles outside of Lathrop.
At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the car skidded off the road into a ditch. Both were taken to Liberty Hospital, where Marilyn was declared dead and Dennis was listed in serious condition. Neither were wearing their seatbelts.
