NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - At its latest meeting, the Nebraska City City Council discussed a potentional new project and getting funding for a current project.
A member of the public is seeking public land to plant a tree for every military service person in the city and county. The city is evaluating where they have space, it is an ongoing discussion.
Also discussed was an increase to gas and electric utilities in the city of 1.5%. The increase is to fund infrastructure for a new housing development in the city.
City Administrator Marty Stovall also discussed a geotechnical exploration of the proposed sight, to the tune of $11,200.KXCV-KRNW
