ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The city of St. Joseph says the pool of candidates for the police chief position is now down to four. The finalists, selected from a pool of 23 candidates, were announced late Wednesday.
The four will meet with three interview panels before a community meet and greet on May 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Missouri Western State University.
The finalists are Philip Lukens, the Chief of Police in Alliance, Nebraska; Paul Luster, a Major with the Kansas City, Missouri police department; Stephenie Price, a Deputy Chief of Police in Beauford, South Carolina; and Rance Quinn, a former acting deputy chief of police with the Kansas City, Kansas police department.
