Falls City prepares for hot air balloon festival

FALLS CITY, Neb. - One Nebraska city is getting the town ready for a popular summer festival. The Falls City Hot Air Balloon Festival is scheduled for June 17, from 5-10 p.m. at Brenner Field.

The festival begins with a kite show at five, but the main event, the balloons, don't lift off until 7 p.m. Around dusk, a balloon glow will happen followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Organizers say that there will be live music, food trucks, beer and wine, and more. In the past, about 90% of attendees have been from out-of-town. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit fallscityareachamber.com.
