SAVANNAH, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an elderly Nodaway County woman is dead after a wrong-way collision.
The Patrol says Sally Burgher of Maryville, 74, was driving a 2006 Hyundai Accent on I-29, seven miles from Savannah.
At 4:08 p.m. last Thursday, the Hyundai, which was driving southbound in the northbound lanes, struck a 2020 Chevy Equinox driven by 64-year-old Bruce Rowe of Kansas City, Missouri.
After impact both cars traveled off the road into the median. Burgher was pronounced dead at the scene while Rowe and a passenger, 70-year-old Carol Rowe of Kansas City, Missouri, were taken to Mosaic Life Care.
All three were wearing their seatbelts.
