ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce has been awarded $2.5 million through an Industrial Site Development Program, run by the Missouri State Department of Economic Development.
The federal funds will be used to help extend sewer and water lines to the East-Towne Business Park in St. Joseph. The money and work will hopefully start attracting new businesses who are looking to break ground in the Midwest.
The Chamber also received a grant worth $2.7 million to help with road improvements in the Park area through the Governors Cost Share Program.
The Chamber says that grant money will improve the area of Pickett Road to the east of Route AC and Ag Expo Way to U.S. Highway 36 in St. Joseph.
