ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A second man has been sentenced in connection with a deadly New Year's Day shooting in St. Joseph last year.
Brison Waggoner, 19, was sentenced to 24 years in prison in the shooting death of Larry McCalin, 55. Waggoner pleaded guilty earlier to shooting from a vehicle into a home off of Randolph Street in the early hours of the first day of 2022.
Waggoner wasn't alone in the crime. Nicholas Minear of St. Joseph, 18, also admitted to shooting into the home. Minear was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the deadly shooting.
