JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri 4-H clubs have successfully completed the fifth annual 4-H Feeding Missouri initiative, partnering with Feeding Missouri and Missouri Farmers Care's Drive to Feed Kids.
Through food drives, fundraisers, volunteering, and educational activities, 4-H'ers raised the equivalent of 711,268 meals this year, totaling over one-point-seven million meals over five years.
Matching mini-grants from the Missouri Farmers Care Foundation were awarded to 17 4-H clubs, amplifying their efforts. The campaign's proceeds directly support Feeding Missouri's network of community-based food programs.
The Drive to Feed Kids continues during the summer, inviting swine exhibitors to commit pigs to feed those in need through Hogs for Hunger.
