CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The city of Chillicothe has good news for residents looking to light up the skies next this weekend and next week.

After Thursday morning's rain, and the burn ban in the area being lifted, the City of Chillicothe will allow the use of personal fireworks this 4th of July holiday.

Citizens will be allowed to use personal fireworks starting Saturday and lasting through next Monday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and next Tuesday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The City’s firework display is still being postponed and the date will be announced when it is rescheduled.
