MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 presented a ceremonial check of $211,000 to the City of Maryville this week.

The city has been selected to receive a Brownfields Cleanup Grant funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

The grant will be used to clean up the Aunt B's North Property, which was a gas station from 1951 to 2005 and is currently vacant and contaminated with petroleum.

The funds will also support community outreach activities and public meetings. This investment is part of President Biden's agenda to boost the American economy, create jobs, and combat climate change.

The EPA and the City of Maryville are proud to collaborate on this important project, aiming to enhance the lives of local residents and promote economic development.
