AFTON, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to a meeting next week to discuss improvements planned for Three-Mile Lake.
The lake will undergo a restoration project to enhance water quality and fishing, which is why DNR officials want public input next Thursday, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the Three-Mile Lake Lodge.
The project includes increasing sediment-nutrient basin capacity, installing in-lake forebays, improving the shoreline, and adding fish habitat structures.
People with special requirements can contact the DNR to ensure their participation. Three-Mile Lake is known for its recreational activities and water supply.
