JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting you to join them for frogging season. The season starts this Friday at sunset and lasts until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The MDC wants to remind interested residents that the daily limit is a combination of eight frogs from both species, with a possession limit of 16 frogs.

Frogging is allowed on waters and banks, but keep in mind that daily limits end at midnight. If you've already reached your daily limit and wish to continue frogging after midnight, make sure to remove the previously caught frogs before returning.

Children 15 and under, as well as Missouri residents 65 years and older, are not required to have a permit to join in the frogging fun. When it comes to catching frogs, fishing permit holders have various methods at their disposal, including hand, hand net, bow, trotline, and more.
