CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office will be issuing more tickets, but not the kind you're thinking of.

In partnership with Hicks Hometown Drive-In, the Sheriff's Office will be giving out "500 Tickets" to young people in the community, granting them a free ice cream at Hicks Hometown Drive-In.

This initiative aims to foster positive interactions, build trust, and reward young individuals for their responsible actions, such as practicing safety or helping others.

According to a press release from Sheriff Steve Cox, Sgt. Dustin Woelfle developed the plan while thinking of ways to help with community policing.

Sheriff Cox adds that this idea is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see that law enforcement officers are here to help and support the Livingston County community.
