JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek has achieved a remarkable feat.
According to a press release, the Treasurer's office returned over $51.8 million in unclaimed property for fiscal year 2023, surpassing last year's record payout.
Additionally, the number of accounts returned has also broken the previous record. Treasurer Malek urges individuals to visit showmemoney.com, a fast, free, and secure platform, to check if they have unclaimed money waiting for them.
With $1.39 billion worth of unclaimed property held by the State Treasurer's office, it's worth taking a moment to see if you're owed anything.
